Understanding the style of therapy you want (for young people)

Welcome to our young person’s questionnaire page.

On this page, you can complete a short series of questions – the Understanding Preferences in Counselling (U-PIC) form – which is designed to help you find out about the sort of therapy you might want, and to help you tell your counsellor or psychotherapist about it. It is entirely up to you whether or not to answer these questions and to share them with your therapist.

U-PIC Understanding Preferences in Counselling

Please let us know what you would like in your therapy by selecting one box in each row. It’s fine if you don’t know, don’t mind, or want both options the same: just mark the middle box. There are two sides to each set of options, so take a little time to consider both before you decide.

We work closely with young people, through the McPin Foundation, to develop the U-PIC form.
